Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening Treatments
The Zoom! line of teeth whitening treatments provides several options that can quickly make your smile look lighter and brighter. There are three different forms of Knoxville teeth whitening to choose from, one of which is bound to fit your lifestyle and smile goals.
- In-Office Zoom! Whitening – Lighten your teeth up to 8 shades in just one office visit.
- Zoom! DayWhite – Wear the customized trays for just 30 minutes per day and optimal results will appear in approximately two weeks.
- Zoom! NiteWhite – Whiten your teeth while you sleep! Wear the trays for 2-4 hours per night, and in just 3 days your teeth will be noticeably whiter.
All the Zoom! products can bleach away years of pigment stains from your tooth enamel. However, if you have intrinsic staining that doesn’t ordinarily respond to hydrogen peroxide-based whiteners, you may get the best results from the in-office treatment. This system uses a UV light to activate the whitening ingredients and speed up the process of breaking down stains. The light penetrates deep into your tooth enamel and can reach discoloration other treatments can’t. For many patients, Zoom! has been able to zap away internal stains caused by injury, fluorosis and antibiotics (such as tetracycline).
Some patients experience temporary sensitivity in the teeth after the in-office Zoom! treatment, so you may want to consider a different approach if your teeth tend to be sensitive.
Opalescence™ Whitening
The Opalescence treatment is another one-stop, in-office whitening system that can give you a dramatically brighter smile in just one day. Depending on the amount of staining you wish to erase, the gel stays on the teeth for 1-2 hours during your visit. Opalescence does not use the special light to activate the whitening ingredients; instead, it uses a thicker, stronger whitening gel that works faster than the products you can take home with you. Because it doesn’t use the light, Opalescence may be a better choice for patients with more sensitive teeth.
