Passionate people thirst for knowledge and avoid mediocrity at all costs. They have a drive to surpass ‘good enough’ and are committed to becoming leaders in their respective fields or endeavors. That’s why I was never satisfied with basic training in dental school or in earning the minimal number of CE credits required each year to maintain my practice. I wanted to be better than that and I believed my patients deserved better. I wanted to become more skilled at evaluating patient’s needs, improve my technical abilities, and find ways to remove financial barriers for patients to receive the care they needed. I wanted to learn how to better put patients at ease and create a different type of dental experience.

Those were the reasons I evaluated advanced training opportunities as a Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the KOIS Center in Seattle, Washington years ago. And, that’s exactly why I enrolled. After much training, I was asked to become a mentor at the Center. And now, years later, I not only serve patients as a West Knoxville dentist, but I continue to guide, teach, and counsel dentists near me and across the country who share my passion and love of all dentistry – cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and family dentistry.
